What is the "secure connection" option?
The ClaimSuite login page includes a "secure connection" option offering enhanced security for the duration of your visit to the ClaimSuite website.
Choosing the secure connection option before you log in to ClaimSuite allows all of the information that passes between your web browser and the ClaimSuite server to be encrypted through use of an industry standard protocol called SSL.
Some ClaimSuite systems have secure connections enforced as a requirement so you might find SSL being utilised even without choosing the option.
Using a secure connection by default
If you always want to access ClaimSuite via a secure connection then you can enable it by default by slightly changing the ClaimSuite Internet address you use.
Preceding the ClaimSuite website address with https:// instead of the usual http:// creates an automatic SSL connection.
Using https://www.claimsuite.com will establish a secure connection immediately without you having to "tick" the secure connection checkbox everytime you login.
Troubleshooting secure connections
If you have a problem connecting to ClaimSuite when using the secure option it might be because you're accessing the Internet via a proxy server or from behind a firewall.
If you can access http://www.claimsuite.com but find you cannot reach https://www.claimsuite.com then it's quite likely that the SSL protocol is not enabled on your proxy server or firewall.
If this is the case, then either use the standard non-SSL method of accessing ClaimSuite or ask those responsible for your proxy server or firewall to enable the SSL protocol for you to use.
